Position Overview:
We are seeking a QA Engineer to design and execute detailed manual and automated test cases, ensuring the functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications. The role involves creating automation scripts, conducting various types of testing (functional, regression, API, performance), and working closely with cross-functional teams. You will also be responsible for integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, tracking defects, and providing test reports.

Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute detailed manual test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications.
- Create and maintain robust automation test scripts using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements, define testing strategies, and ensure test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defects in the bug tracking system (e.g., Jira), ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
- Perform regression, smoke, functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the test automation framework to support ongoing regression testing and continuous integration.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI, ensuring backend services meet functional and performance requirements.
- Perform performance testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to evaluate system performance under load.
- Validate UI/UX consistency across multiple browsers and devices through cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) for continuous testing.
- Ensure that software complies with the highest standards of security, reliability, and data protection.
- Provide detailed test reports and metrics to stakeholders, outlining testing progress, defect rates, and overall product quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and best practices to continuously improve the QA process.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in manual and automation testing for web and mobile applications.
- Strong experience in manual testing across all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in developing and executing automation tests using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, or Robot Framework.
- Solid understanding of test automation frameworks (data-driven, keyword-driven, hybrid).
- Experience with API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
- Expertise in using bug tracking and test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Proficient in version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery in conjunction with automated testing tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI).
- Strong knowledge of various software testing methodologies (e.g., black-box, white-box, functional, regression, smoke).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Understanding of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to document test cases, defects, and results effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mobile application testing (both Android and iOS).
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
- Familiarity with security testing practices and tools (e.g., OWASP, Burp Suite).
- Experience with BDD/TDD approaches using tools like Cucumber or Gherkin.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker for test environment setup.
