What you will be doing

The Operations Executive plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth functioning of the company’s daily operations. This position is responsible for coordinating and optimising processes, managing resources, and supporting the overall operational strategy. The Operations Executive will be an organised candidate with knowledge and experience in HR and Office operations who will be able to manage first line HR operations and day to day office operations.

How will you be doing it

  • Responsible for administration of all statutory requirements (BBBEE, EE, SD, market related data, STATS SA, CODIA, HSE)
  • Responsible for all employee data on HRMS and travel system to ensure it is relevant and correct at all times
  • Manage employee absence records, to be up to date at all times and ensure absences are aligned to company policy
  • Coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding procedures, including logistics for new hire orientations
  • Responsible for recruitment processes, setting up recruitment and training events, organizing meetings and ensure all records are documented aligned to compliance requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with EMI Policies and regulations, and conducting compliance checks
  • Attending to all employee queries and concerns and facilitating communication within the organisation
  • Manage Health and Safety requirements and responsibilities
  • Assist with payroll processing and uploading of payslips
  • Manage supplier relationships and agreements (includes but is not exhaustive list: operations, benefits, building management, insurance)
  • Processing stock orders and quotes into the financial system
  • Manage petty cash
  • Manage all access, egress, parking and
  • Manage and purchase stock for all office supplies, apparel and any employee related items
  • Ensure office is clean, tidy and organized at all times
  • Manage office central call line and handling of all courier items
  • Responsible for overall office communication
  • Coordinate and plan office and team related events
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required by the Company from time to time

 

What you’ll need

  • The ability to work independently
  • Able to deal with different tasks at once, strong time-management skills essential
  • The ability to work across the organization at different levels
  • Self-motivated, organized with strong attention to detail
  • Relevant qualification or experience in HR and overall Office operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • A confident manner with strong communication and negotiation skills
