Facility Specialist

 

Triumvirate Environmental, one of North America's largest environmental services firms, seeks a Facility Specialist for our Savannah team. As a Facility Specialist, you will be able to work closely with the Recycling and Waste Manager and be involved with nearly every aspect of facility waste management.

This position requires proficiency in forklift operation and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Additionally, success in this role depends on strong attention to detail and effective collaboration skills to work well with others.

The position is under the supervision of the Recycling and Waste Manager and is based on-site in Savannah, GA.

 

Essential responsibilities and duties include:

• Waste and document preparation; regulatory and safety review
• Load & unload incoming and outgoing trucks
• Operate forklift and other machinery safely and proficiently
• Waste inventory management through the use of Triumvirate designed software and computerized waste tracking system
• Learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
• Become familiar with packaging guidelines and disposal facility selection
• Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, Triumvirate’s solid waste permit, and EPA regulations
• Communicate effectively with end facilities as well as fellow employees to solve complex issues
• WOW! internal and external customers!
• Ability to work as a team player

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or equivalent 
• Basic knowledge of or desire to learn hazardous waste industry
• Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination
• Become fit tested for a respirator and be comfortable wearing respirator for multiple hours a week
• Forklift experience
• Valid driver’s license
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position
