As a Sales Training Specialist at Gurobi Optimization, you will be instrumental in elevating our sales team's performance through targeted training programs. Your role involves developing and continuously enhancing training initiatives that cover product knowledge, sales techniques, customer interactions, and CRM utilization. These training initiatives will be tailored to various learning styles and experience levels. 

You'll conduct engaging training sessions incorporating established methodologies such as SPIN Selling and Challenger Sales, both virtually and in-person, ensuring active participation and material retention. Additionally, you will evaluate the effectiveness of these programs using assessment tools and adapting training content based on feedback and performance metrics. 

Collaborating closely with sales and marketing leadership, you'll align training objectives with broader business goals and stay updated on industry trends to integrate the latest educational tools and strategies.  

This role demands a proactive and adaptable individual committed to fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement within the sales team. 

What will you be doing?

  • Create and continuously improve training programs that include product knowledge, sales techniques, customer interaction strategies, and Salesforce (CRM) use. Tailor training materials to cater to different learning styles and sales experience levels. 
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions, virtually and in person, to ensure high participation and retention of material. Utilize a variety of training methodologies to ensure maximum effectiveness. 
  • Implement assessment tools to measure training effectiveness and sales team performance before and after training. Use feedback and data to refine training strategies and content regularly. 
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to sales personnel, including one-on-one mentorship or team coaching sessions. Develop resources and refresher courses to aid the sales team's ongoing development. 
  • Work closely with sales and marketing leadership to align training objectives with overall business goals. Adjust training programs based on the evolving needs of the business and market trends. 
  • Stay updated on the latest sales training practices and new technologies that could enhance training efficiency and effectiveness. Propose and integrate modern educational tools and techniques. 

What experience and qualifications should you have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience as a sales trainer, sales coach, or in a similar role within a corporate setting. 
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, particularly within the technology industry. 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate others. 
  • Experience with CRM software and digital training tools/platforms. 
  • Ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines. 
  • Certification in training (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Certified Sales Professional (CSP)) is a plus.
