ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Black & McDonald Ltd. is hiring a Contract Coordinator for the FMO Division at the Air Canada Data Maintenance Hangar. Reporting to the Supervisor of Contract Administration, the Contract Coordinator is an integral component to providing clients with quality service that adds value to their core business.

You’ll receive guidance but not heavy-handed micromanagement from your manager. You’ll be relied upon and trusted to initiate process improvements that enhance the team’s output and satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Procurement with regards to approvals and processes related to the maintenance contract
• Investigate and provide solutions to client inquiries
• Invite tenders, consult with suppliers & subcontractors, and obtain quotations
• Leverage the organization’s buying power to optimize costs, access new suppliers, reduce lead times, and guarantee supply
• Issue purchase orders for goods or services that meet the expectations of the organization
• Coordinate maintenance & repairs with subcontractors and client
• Escort subcontractors in secure areas
• Investigate and provide solutions to subcontractor inquiries
• Confirm and validate subcontractor services via report submissions
• Reference and maintain hard and soft copies of client maintenance agreements
• Client reporting and engagement
• Utilize client’s computerized maintenance management system to track and manage tasks
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Proficiency with computers is a strong asset (MS Office, CMMS)
• Familiarity with commercial building systems is a strong asset
• Maintains a professional demeanour at all times with fellow employees, vendors, sub-contractors and clients
• Ability to cope under pressure and maintain focus, dealing effectively with setbacks while remaining positive
• Embraces change and always willing to adopt new practices
• Ability to approach problems logically, under pressure and seek innovative solutions
• Communicates effectively (verbally and written) at all levels within an organization and with external parties including enforcing authorities
• Values and respects others, encourages and supports diversity
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Able to obtain site required Security Clearance.
