Description:Candidates must have experience with Windows Servers, including Active Directory, IIS and MS SQL Server administration, as well as with Linux, including Apache and MySQL administration.
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role includes participating in the design, configuration, development, integration, testing, implementation, documentation, automation, and escalated support of a variety of enterprise and cloud applications in a variety of physical, virtual, and cloud environments. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer should have a good understanding of general computing principles and how those are specifically implemented in a variety of platforms and applications. Responsibilities - Design, implement, document, and handle all aspects of a mixed Windows and Linux environment
- Document support procedures and train others on those procedures
- Write and maintain scripts in Ruby, PowerShell and Bash
- Deploy and support applications on the Azure cloud platform
- Identify repetitive, manual tasks and automate them
- Use and create tools to deploy applications in an automated, repeatable manner
- Assist periodically in after-hours deployments and support
An ideal candidate will have: - 3-5 years of systems administration experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or others
- Experience with Windows Server administration and related applications, particularly Active Directory, IIS, and SQL Server
- Experience with Linux and related applications such as Apache, Nginx, Drupal, MySQL and Redis
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or Salt (we use Chef)
- Experience with techniques and tools such as version control (GIT), Continuous Integration (TeamCity/Jenkins), and scripting against REST APIs
Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
