<p><strong>Purpose:</strong></p><p>The (Senior) Regulatory Affairs Advisor for Germany will be responsible for developing, and managing key positions, helping to further the interest of TES-H2 towards German stakeholders in providing a supportive regulatory framework and supporting expert and technical engagement with relevant stakeholders and policymakers. This role will be operating in a diverse and challenging international environment and will require creative problem-solving abilities and strong regulatory expertise, in particular with regards to German legislation.</p><p> <strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Focus on CH4 regulatory framework in Germany and provide ad-hoc support/analysis on the e-LNG terminal exemption decision granted by the BNetzA</li><li>Focus on CO2 regulatory framework in Germany </li><li>Focus on coordinating lobbying initiatives, and collecting regulatory intelligence relevant for both Wilhelmshaven CO<em>2</em> and e-LNG terminals activities and distillate such intelligence throughout the broader TES organization (eg by way of a newsletter monitoring)</li><li>The German Carbon Management Strategy and subsequent regulatory topics, for example related funding vehicles</li><li>LNG and Natural Gas regulation evolutions linked to our e-LNG terminal development in Wilhelmshaven</li><li>Monitoring and analyzing relevant legislative and regulatory developments in Germany, provide visibility across TES teams and propose actions related to these developments</li><li>Provide insight, help anticipate and develop proposals regarding regulatory developments Germany and key regional governments for TES activities.</li><li>Support TES’ commercial strategy with regulatory intelligence Manage and enhance relationships with external German stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations, local communities, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).</li><li>Point of contact in the federal lobby registry (“Lobbyregister des Deutschen Bundestages”) and the BundesNetzAgentur (BNA).</li><li>Representation in German industry associations as required.</li><li>Represent the interests of TES in the German political landscape and supports EU lobbying with a focus on German political stakeholders in Brussels.</li></ul><p><strong>Location</strong>:</p><p>Germany</p><p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p><ul><li>Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, Business, or a related field.</li><li>Proven experience in regulatory affairs and policy development, or related roles in the energy sector.</li><li>Strong knowledge of the energy industry, regulatory frameworks, and relevant policies.</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.</li><li>Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Good team player and ability to identify synergies across TES activities</li><li>Fluency in German and English</li></ul><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Work in a very diverse environment</li><li>Be a first mover in a highly dynamic and disruptive field</li><li>Space to jointly develop creative new solutions to solve complex regulatory issues</li><li>Collaborate and learn from the business & stakeholders</li><li>Have an impact on the organization’s short-term and long-term success</li><li>TES - H2 is an equal opportunity employer and encourages diversity in the applications process</li></ul> •
