About the role
Invenco by GVR has a big opportunity in the APAC region, and we’ve achieved some great milestones in recent years. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team as a Technical Solution Engineer. Based in Malaysia, you will be responsible for solution design, providing pre-sales and sales engineering support, managing customer relationships and solutions as well as supporting tender management.

In this position you will be involved in the following areas:

Solution Design
·       Understand, evaluate and document business needs and technical requirements of customers

·       Research and Design solutions for customers with global and internal teams using Invenco by GVR and/or Vendor products and solutions

·       Be a crucial link between customers and the company’s business development and technical delivery teams

Pre-Sales and Sales Engineering
·       Provide assistance in Production of Proposals and Statements of Work.

·       Work with Business Development team to provide product, business and technical knowledge in support of pre-sales activities.

·       Demonstrate the functionality of the products and solutions to assist the sales teams to make sales which will involve customer presentations

 Project Support and Technical Resolution
·       Support during the Project Life Cycle including deployment of new releases to client’s test lab, project related issues troubleshooting/log capturing & escalation to respective team.

·       Support pilot implementation onsite/offsite including training to service partner PM with manuals & guides

·       Be a main point of contract for customer, service partner & escalation to internal team for any pilot production issues

·       Support mass deployment for Invenco by GVR customers

 About your Experience
You’ll have worked in a similar role with experience designing technical solutions. Most importantly, you will love working with customers and be able to collaborate across a range of different teams to get projects delivered.

·       3+ years experience in designing technical solutions

·       Relevant tertiary qualification in IT or Engineering 

·       Proven experience working in an Agile project team environment

·       Has worked in a sales engineer or similar position.

·       Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English

·       No restrictions to travel 

·       Experience supporting payment systems (ie. Cards / POS payment industry)
