The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing transactional and user behavior data by creating/generating trend analysis reports. The data analyst is responsible for pulling data points from different source systems in order to translate data inquiry business cases. The data analyst is a resource that is fully aware of data models and requirements to build data models in case the models are not available. Building data models is driven by the data analyst by identifying the proper data source and communicating the details of the source of data to DWH implementation team.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize data in preparation for the generation of statistical and analytical reports.
- Document and record data definitions and structure as well as specifications for business intelligence reports and dashboards.
- Work with technical experts to guide the creation of reporting dashboards reflecting KPIs and key trends.
- Develop and deploy reporting and visualization for cross-title performance analysis.
- Perform data profiling and process analysis to understand key source systems and using knowledge of application features and functions to assess scope and impact of business needs.
- Assist Product Owners in building dashboards and reporting
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science is preferrable
- 2+ years work experience as a data analyst or in a related field
- Knowledge of complex data analysis; data-driven focus; application and interpretation of data sampling
- Development and deployment of formal business analysis methods and tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
- Experience with structured design, development, and implementation of data-intensive solutions
- Experience in relational database concepts with a solid knowledge of Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL
- Experience in Data visualization and communication of results using ANY analytical tool: Looker, MS Power BI, OBIEE, Tableau, etc
