FORTA’S MISSION:
Forta is clearing the path to quality healthcare by delivering the best possible outcomes with the utmost convenience. 1 in 36 children [CDC, 2023] is diagnosed to be on the autism spectrum.  Currently, autism support via Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is difficult to access and the delivery model must be expanded to provide earlier access to families.

Forta is not only providing ABA services to our clients, but we’re also improving the future of the ABA experience for families by creating software and predictive algorithms that elevate clinicians to work smarter by surfacing the latest and most relevant case data.  We are working diligently to continuously improve the patient journey and deliver personalized care by applying smart technology and investing in the growth of our world-class team.

Forta is seeking a strategic and hands-on Human Resources Manager to oversee our HR functions across multiple regions, including the USA and global markets. You will play a key role in shaping our company culture, driving employee engagement, managing payroll and compliance, and scaling HR operations as we grow. This role requires someone who can wear many hats and thrive in a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global HR Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals across multiple regions, including the USA, APAC, and LATAM.
  • Work with leadership to develop policies that reflect global compliance, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Design and manage an agile, scalable HR infrastructure.

  • Payroll Management (USA & Global):
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees in the US and globally, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies, including employee inquiries, wage adjustments, and time-off accruals.
  • Keep updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations across jurisdictions to ensure accurate payroll execution and compliance.

  • Talent Acquisition and Retention:
  • Partner with the recruiting department to source and interview.
  • Manage full-cycle onboarding both US-based and international employees.

  • Employee Relations and Engagement:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, providing guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, and organizational development.
  • Promote a strong company culture that reflects our core values and creates an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies tailored to the needs of a global and remote workforce.

  • HR Compliance and Legal:
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international labor laws, including data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to reflect changes in employment law across jurisdictions.
  • Oversee global payroll, benefits, and compensation practices in partnership with finance.

  • Performance Management:
  • Implement and manage a performance management system that includes goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback loops.
  • Identify training and development needs for a distributed workforce and develop relevant training programs.

  • HR Systems and Analytics:
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of HRIS systems to improve efficiency in managing a global workforce.
  • Track HR metrics such as turnover, time-to-hire, and employee satisfaction to inform decision-making.
  • Use data to analyze workforce trends and recommend improvements in hiring, retention, employee engagement, and payroll processes.

  • Culture and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
  • Champion initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across the company, ensuring that all employees feel valued and supported.
  • Create programs that celebrate cultural diversity and encourage cross-cultural collaboration.

  • Benefits and Compensation:
  • Oversee employee benefits administration across different regions, ensuring alignment with local regulations.
  • Collaborate with finance to develop and manage compensation and benefits structures in different countries, ensuring equitable and fair compensation across regions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, PHR, GPHR) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR roles, with at least 2 years in a global HR capacity.
  • Experience managing payroll across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
  • Deep understanding of US employment laws and international labor laws in key regions.
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment, with the ability to implement scalable processes.
  • Proven track record in managing global HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a remote or distributed setting.
