The Role

As a Research Consultant at Prolific, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our clients' research needs. You’ll be a foundational member of the Client Services Team and you will leverage your expertise in various research methodologies to design and execute high-quality studies, while also providing strategic guidance to clients throughout their research journey. In this role, you'll partner closely with our sales, marketing, and panel management teams to ensure seamless client experiences and drive business growth across client segments.

 

What you'll be doing in the role 

• Designing and executing complex research studies for a diverse range of clients across AI, academia, and market research, utilizing Prolific's platform and participant pool to meet various research objectives across different industries and disciplines.
• Acting as a partner to clients by providing strategic guidance and applying in-depth knowledge of various research methodologies to solve client challenges, ensuring their research goals are met, and the data they collect is high quality.
• Maintaining a commercial mindset to identify growth opportunities, working in close partnership with sales and marketing teams to enhance client acquisition and retention across customer segments.
• Contributing to product development initiatives within Prolific that support the work you do for Clients and improve our platform's capabilities.
• Collaborating with our panel management teams to identify and augment strategic participant populations beneficial for clients' research needs.
• As a foundational team member in the Client Services Team, you’ll be developing and scaling best practices into a playbook for growth that can be replicated across multiple client segments and research domains.

 

What you’ll bring to this role

• You have extensive experience in designing and executing qualitative and quantitative research projects, and an in-depth knowledge of various research methodologies. You are proficient in survey tools such as Qualtrics, and analysis tools such as R, Python, or SPSS.
• You have a proven track record of leading complex client research projects end-to-end with an emphasis on client communication and relationship management.
• You can excel in a project-based environment and have an ability to juggle multiple projects & priorities, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis.
• You are passionate about advancing the field of research and data quality, with a focus on ethical research.
• You are an optimistic self-starter who can effectively partner with stakeholders across the business to drive priorities & objectives forward (e.g. sales, marketing, product, panel management, etc) 
• As a member of a new team, you are able to thrive in a dynamic & changing environment and are comfortable with change.
• While not required, you ideally have experience working specifically with clients in the AI space who are focused on foundational model building & training (AI alignment, AI safety, and human-AI interaction).
