Mid-Level Modelling Artist (VFX)

We are looking for talented and motivated Mid-Level Modelling Artists specializing in environment creation for our VFX pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in modelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to produce high-quality assets that align with the creative and technical requirements of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Environment Modelling: Create detailed and realistic environment models, including buildings, landscapes, and other environmental elements.
• Collaboration: Work with the VFX Supervisor, Art Directors, and other team members to ensure that models meet the creative vision and technical standards.
• Texturing: Assist the texturing team to ensure models are properly textured and meet the project’s visual requirements.
• Optimization: Optimize models for various production needs, ensuring they are efficient for rendering and integration into the pipeline.
• Problem Solving: Address technical challenges related to modelling and provide solutions that adhere to project timelines and quality standards.
• Quality Control: Review and ensure the quality of assets produced, maintaining a high standard of work throughout the production process.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in environment modelling for VFX, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of high-quality environment models.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in industry-standard modelling software such as Maya, ZBrush, and Blender. Experience with other relevant tools like Houdini is a plus.
• Artistic Skills: Strong artistic skills with a solid understanding of form, structure, and detail in modelling.
• Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of VFX pipelines and workflows, including experience with UV mapping, texture baking, and shader development.
• Communication: Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce highly realistic models that meet the creative and technical requirements of the project.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines while maintaining a high standard of work.

Preferred Skills:

• Creativity: A creative mindset with the ability to contribute to the overall visual direction of the project.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address technical and creative challenges efficiently.
