We call this Connected Intelligence. Ontic serves corporate security teams across key functions, including intelligence, investigations, GSOC, executive protection, and security operations.
As we continue to grow, we seek an exceptional Vice President of Engineering to lead our technical team, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of our products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable systems.
- Provide architectural guidance and serve as the go-to expert for your team.
- Actively engage in troubleshooting and resolving production issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Stay at the forefront of technology trends and advancements. Demonstrate deep expertise in core Java, Spring Boot, Elastic Search, Mongo DB, messaging queues like Kafka, and caching frameworks like Redis.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align engineering goals with business objectives.
- Mentor and guide the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Communicate complex technical concepts and design decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Drive technical innovation within the team to create and maintain competitive advantages in our product offerings
- Ensure that systems are designed and maintained with scalability, performance, and future growth in mind.
Requirements
- Minimum of 14 years in engineering, with at least 3+ years in a startup environment and significant experience in a product-based company.
- Expertise in core Java, Spring Boot, Elastic Search, Mongo DB, messaging queues like Kafka, caching frameworks like Redis, and hands-on experience with patched ES code. Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues. Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues.
- Deep understanding of product lifecycle management and experience in driving product development from conception to launch.
- Extensive experience in designing scalable systems and providing architectural direction.
- Brilliant communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- A deep passion for technology and staying updated with industry trends.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing engineering teams.
- Additional experience with technologies and platforms relevant to our product stack.
- A proven track record of successful project delivery and innovation in previous roles.
- Experience in a leadership role in a product-based company, driving both technical and business success.
