Management Accountant

Based in London with hybrid working.

As part of the ApotheCom Global Finance team, the Management Accountant will report to and assist the Group Reporting Manager in preparing monthly management accounts, to ensure our financial transactions are recorded correctly and they provide detailed monthly analysis of profit and loss and balance sheet items.

Main responsibilities in this role include:

• Reviewing overhead expense accounts and preparing month end journal entries for accruals.
• Prepare detailed month end analysis of profit and loss overhead expenses with checks to trial balance. Including general review of accounts for mis postings and preparation of correction journals.
• Collaborate with external accountants for monthly reporting for non-US/UK geographies (South Africa, Greece, Japan).
• Prepare monthly management information reports for the business leadership.
• Help with loading information to Group reporting system, Oracle EPM and Oracle FCCS.
• Manage weekly management reporting.
• Help with preparation of financial statements and inputs for tax return for non-US/UK geographies managed within the team.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Previous work experience within a Finance Team and financial accounting experience
• AAT Qualified or exam Part qualified in CIMA, ACCA or ACA (not just exemptions).
• Experience with debits and credits, coupled with experience in balance sheet reconciliation.
• Experience with the tasks of an integrated accounting system.
• Excel skills (intermediate level or above). Experience with Maconomy or Oracle is desirable.
• A pro-active approach to process improvement.
• Experience working on numerous projects.
• Previous audit experience is desirable.
