Our team produces high quality long-term markets reports, capture price analysis and forward markets forecasts and commentaries. We are passionate about our tasks and solving problems.</p><p>Volue insight team is growing, and now we are looking for a <strong>Quantitative Power Markets Analyst </strong>to strengthen our Mid- and Long-term Analysis team. </p><p><strong>What you will be doing to make a difference:</strong></p><ul><li>Developing and modelling mid- and long-term price forecasts for European and Japanese power markets, leveraging different power market optimisation tools.</li><li>Enhancing and maintaining our existing power market models, optimising workflows, and automating processes for model calibration and validation in close collaboration with the development team and market analysts.</li><li>Contributing to the mid and long-term product roadmap by identifying new modeling opportunities and expanding our system optimisation capabilities.</li><li>Continuously improving the quality and performance of our models through evaluation, extension, optimisation and automation of the current workflows.</li><li>Collecting and preprocessing European and Japanese power plant and market data from internal and public sources, expanding forecast coverage into new geographical areas.</li><li>Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including development, market analysts, marketing, and sales, to ensure data reliability and drive commercial success.</li><li>Communicating insights from our models to internal and external stakeholders via reports, webinars, and events across Europe.</li><li>Engaging with customers to understand their needs and ensure the delivery of high-quality analytical products.</li></ul><p><strong>What you need to succeed</strong></p><p></p><p></p><li>Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in economics, engineering, physics, mathematics, data science, or related fields.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>2+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, power markets, or similar roles, especially when gaining knowledge in the European or Japanese power markets.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>Experience with power market models (e.g., PyPSA, Plexos, EMPS) is a big plus.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>Strong Python skills; experience in optimisation models is an advantage.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>Background in mathematics, statistics, or optimiation is a plus.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>Proficient in data management (large datasets, databases, APIs); familiarity with big data is a bonus.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>Familiarity with futures and forwards markets, with insight into market and policy impacts on modeling is an advantage.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>Project management skills, especially in agile workplaces, are preferred.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>Critical thinker with adaptability to evolving market conditions and decision-making under uncertainty, ability to work in agile environment.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>Analytical and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to problem-solving.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>Team player who fosters collaboration and excels in communication and presentation.</li><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><li>Fluency in English; German and/or Japanese are a bonus.</li><p></p><p></p><ul></ul><p><strong>Reasons to join Volue team and what we offer:</strong><br></p><ul><li>Large degree of influence in shaping &amp; developing the role further.</li><li>Great colleagues in one of Europe’s most exciting green tech companies with innovative and international work environment .</li><li>Flexible working hours  &amp; competitive compensation package.</li><li>Entering a European leader from analysis to planning/operating and optimising the energy transition.</li><li>Professional and personal development in a company experiencing strong growth.</li><li>A positive international working environment characterised by expertise, responsibility and innovation.</li><li>Supportive colleagues, where team spirit, cooperation, trust and honesty are highly valued and rewarded.</li></ul><p>In Volue, we cherish each employee’s competence, ideas and personality.
