About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Presales Manager to join our Marketing department. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with the sales team to respond effectively to customer requirements, playing a pivotal role in driving the success of our presale efforts. This is a unique opportunity to work on innovative mobile marketing solutions with Mobile Operators in high-growth markets and geographies.

The role involves supporting the sales team during the sales funnel by being responsible for the end-to-end management of customers' proposals starting from the inception of the proposal and the production of supporting material for sales purposes (presentations, business cases, RFP’s etc.). You will work on proposals that cover both Digital Services and Upstream’s Marketing Platform, as well as other supporting products and services.

 The position reports to the Presales Director and is based in Athens, Greece.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Collaboration with Sales Team: Act as the first point of contact for Presales across regions, supporting global sales activities, and managing the production of presale material. On occasion support the sales team by attending sales meetings and presenting proposals to existing and prospective customers
  • Sales Strategy Development: Identify potential sales opportunities, develop proposals, and create compelling pitches for clients
  • Material Production: Produce high-quality material that effectively communicates the uniqueness of Upstream's solutions
  • Localization Expertise: Localize central sales pitches to appeal to regional audiences, demonstrating a deep understanding of local business, consumer behavior, and cultural norms
  • Financial Modeling: Model financial business cases for sales opportunities, aiming to increase customer profitability
  • Proposal Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of customers' proposals, including the production of supporting material for sales purposes (presentations, business cases, RFPs, etc.)
  • Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities, conducting research to inform presales strategies
  • Relationship Building and Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering trust and confidence. Daily collaboration with product, commercial, performance management and operational teams to analyze proposal feasibility and complexity
  • Market Monitoring: Monitor regional sales pipeline in conjunction with regional sales targets.
  • Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Upstream’s products and services, updating the company’s sales material repository

Requirements

  • Background: Technology, Consulting, and/or Marketing background; MBA degree considered as a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in sales support via developing sales collateral, with a focus on B2B solutions. Marketing and consulting experience is advantageous
  • Skills: Excellent proficiency in tools like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Docs
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (mandatory), French or Portuguese considered as a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of competitors, value-added services, marketing channels, mobile market and technologies, business models, and challenges
  • Track Record: Proven ability in solution selling, identifying customer pain points, creating customized solutions, and articulating value propositions

Bonus points if you have

·       Experience in Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)

·       Experience with SaaS and MarTech platforms
