We are looking for a full-time Test Engineer to join our RELEX family in either our Helsinki or Lisbon office. You’ll join a Frontend-focused team, who will help you succeed in your new role. Our department builds new functionality to improve our offering for the Consumer-packaged goods and manufacturing industry. In our specific team, we make sure the user interface aligns with the CPG offering.

Our team thrives on the cutting edge, implementing technologies like React, TypeScript, and Cypress, and is always eager to integrate novel features into our freshly minted user interface. We are responsible for the front-end code of a web application. Our cross-functional approach means collaborating seamlessly with designers, our engineering manager and product manager, ensuring a holistic view of every project. One of our team's greatest strengths is our autonomy in making architectural decisions, ensuring we stay agile and innovative. As a Test Engineer, and this is some of what you’ll be doing:

• Designing and automating tests using Cypress
• Analyzing, reporting and resolving issues identified by automated tests.
• Doing code reviews, writing documentation and improving test quality
• Participating in planning new features and solutions to identified issues
• Participating in Agile team practices and the development of them. Decided by the team, we follow Scrum agile practices
• Collaborating within team and with other stakeholders
• Manual acceptance testing of the software

We’re looking for:

• Experience in at least one programming language (preferably JavaScript)
• Ability to work both in a team and independently
• Understanding of the bigger picture and a systematic approach to work
• Professional software testing experience, including test automation
• Appreciation for testing and maintaining clean, maintainable code and reliable software
• Interest in personal development and sharing knowledge with others
• Fluent English communication skills.

What we consider as an advantage:

• Experience in Javascript, Cypress, Typescript or React
• Experience with other testing frameworks with a focus on UI testing  
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab runner, Jenkins...)
• Other testing experience (unit, component, performance, system...)
• Enthusiasm towards improving Quality Assurance practices and processes
• Industry knowledge of Manufacturing and Consumer Produced Goods
