Expanded Learning Program Instructor (Bret Harte)

We are currently seeking committed and passionate Instructors to lead Academic, Enrichment and Recreation activities for the Expanded Learning Program. Our ideal Program Instructor will have a strong dedication to youth development, a sense of creativity and enthusiasm and be able to commit to working the entire school year.

*$300 signing bonus after 60 days of Employment*

*Please note that rehires within three (3) years are not eligible for the sign-on bonus

Benefits:

● Pay rate: $23 - $25 an hour DOE

● Flexible hours negotiated upon hiring (20 – 30 hours per week)

Requirements and Responsibilities:

● Ability to work Monday – Friday until 6:00 pm for the duration of the school year (hours will be determined at time of offer, between 20 – 30 hours per week until 6:00pm)

● Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, community partners, and BACR staff.

● Passionate about youth development

● Experience working with Elementary youth preferred

● Strong classroom management skills

● Ability to plan and facilitate activities for up to 20 students

● Must be able to work independently or part of a team

● Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times

● Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors and language

● Must have an AA degree or higher, 48 + college credits OR pass the SFUSD Instructional Aide Exam

● Must pass a criminal background check and have TB Clearance
