Delivery Driver

Location: Bermondsey, London, SE16

Full Time/flexi work- Earn £17-£24 per hour
Self-employed worker

You can either use your own electric van or hire one from us. We have a range of vans to choose from.

You can either select a set shift pattern for guaranteed work or be on a flexi schedule and pick up shifts when you are available.

Flexi worker availability: We will post shifts each week for you to pick up as and when you are available.

Set shift pattern available: Tuesday-Fri
You can then choose either Sat or Sun to be your 5th working day. (or both to equal 6 working days if you wish)

We offer fixed shifts and shift patterns to make sure you can plan ahead, suited to your preferences where possible. We deliver every day of the year except Christmas Day.

- Insurance is included in our van hire

- Roadside assistance whilst working is included in our van hire

Whether you have your own van or want to rent one of ours, you'll be doing a mixture of collections and deliveries. Collections will be from our merchants and deliveries will be to residential addresses as well as businesses. We pay our drivers for collections as well as deliveries so you don't lose out on cash!

Requirements

What we're looking for:

• Friendly, and kind individuals
• Focussed on going the extra-mile to offer a great customer experience
• Experience and confidence driving electric vans
• Confident driving, navigating and parking around London
• Tech-savvy — you'll be using our own driver app on your phone for your routes

What we will need proof of:

• a valid UK driving licence
• If you will supply your own van we need proof of insurance which must contain a provision to show the vehicle can be used for carriage of goods for hire and reward
• DVLA check which does not have any of the following offences on your licence:

For own van and a Packfleet hire van-

• i) Theft or unauthorised taking UT
• ii) Drink or Drugs DR or DG
• iii) Dangerous Driving DD
• iv) Driving whilst disqualified BA
• v) Driving whilst uninsured IN
• vi) Accident Offences AC
• vii) Careless Driving CD

For a Packfleet hire van you also cannot have-

• viii) Licence Offences LC30-50
• ix) Miscellaneous MS50-90
• x) Mutual Recognition MR
• xi) Special Code/Totting Up TT

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift

Application question(s):

• Are you comfortable delivering alcohol?
• Do you have your own electric van or would you like to hire one of ours?

Experience:

• Driving: 2 years (required)
• Delivery driver: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• UK Driving Licence (required)

Work Location: On the road

If you will be supplying your own van it must meet the following criteria:
- have valid insurance

- be unbranded

-be electric and must have a range of at least 120 miles on a single charge

- have a minimum internal load capacity of 5.2m3

- be in good working order, and meet road safety standards (such as tyre treads)

If you wish to hire a Packfleet van:
- You must be 25 years of age or over
- You must not have more than 6 points on your license
- You must have held your driving license for at least 2 years
