As our head of Product Design, you’ll take the lead of the Product Design team, and report to the VP of Product. Involved in the entire product development process, from vision to delivery, you will coach eight Product Designers, and help them deliver a world-class experience. You’ll be a key stakeholder and contributor to our Product vision and strategy, and define how the Design functions evolve as we grow.
Embrace a Design coaching role: You'll coach our team of brilliant Product designers with different and complementary skill-sets in user research, prototyping, UI design, visual design, illustrations, both on web and mobile. You’ll align them on an ambitious vision, and make sure they are in the right environment to solve complex problems.
Guarantee of a best-in-class experience to users:You’ll partner closely with the VP of Product and Group Product Managers to reach product excellence, especially by challenging features conception and Figmas so we always seek for a smoother and seamless experience.
Ensure our Product meets world-class standards: you will lead transversal initiatives to ensure we (non exhaustive) standardize and evangelize our design system, provide a full responsive product, maintain high accessibility standards.
Within 1 month you will:
- Meet your team and discover all other teams at 360
- Get to know our Convexity culture
- Know the basics of our product
- Discover our design system and specific design practices and processes
- Get acquainted with our tools and processes
Within 3 months you will:
- Gain a deep understanding of our users
- Get acquainted with the existing roadmap and vision
- Understand clearly how the product team (tech, PM, design) works
- Coach the Product Designers of your team on their ongoing projects
- Become the #1 advocate of a great UX mindset within the Product, Design and Engineering teams
Within 6 months you will:
- Define Product Design team OKRs together with your team, and aligned with the company strategy
- Build and start delivering on your Design strategy and roadmap
- Develop and share your rock-solid understanding of customers and the business. Use data and research to define and articulate design goals that will be in line with overall product and company goals.
- Ensure team health, and enable career development, coaching, and mentoring tailored to individual goals within the team. Evangelize and communicate the design plan and practices.
- Constantly raise the bar on design practices and collaboration with stakeholders. Align stakeholders to evolve design practices for increasing scale, efficiency, and customer value.
- Own the Design KPIs. Leverage them to arbitrate decisions with the Design, Product and Engineering teams, and to measure and celebrate Design team impact on the business.
The Skill Set:
- Track record of shipping complex, high quality products and features on time and on budget and owning the process end-to-end
- Demonstrated ability to work with Engineering and Product Management teams to discuss UX concepts, make tradeoffs to remove roadblocks, and evaluate new ideas, backed by data and rationale arguments
- Experience owning a large-scoped B2B/C SaaS product
- Adaptable to changes in daily work processes and willingness to improve them
- Ability to own and advocate for a UX-driven vision
- Team spirit and good communications skills, including the ability to communicate solutions
- Leadership and conflict resolution skills necessary
- Experience in coaching, managing and recruiting Product Designers
- Enthusiasm for our product
