POSITION SUMMARY:
The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Philanthropy Data-Entry Coordinator to process donor gifts and assist in fundraising data entry.
This is a part-time, on-site position and pays between $16-$22/hour, based upon experience and abilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and enter donor contributions and update donor records using Tessitura, our customer relationship management (CRM) system; accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
- Oversee coding of gifts, daily reconciliation, maintain codes for campaigns, appeals, sources.
- Respond to donor inquiries relating to contributions by phone and email; print and mail relevant information upon request.
- Pull and provide data and reporting when requested by Philanthropy Database Manager, Finance and Operations teams. This may include attendance lists and daily giving reports.
- General administrative responsibilities such as mail merge, copying and scanning information.
- Analyze data and perform database maintenance and quality improvement through regular clean-up tasks and audits, merging accounts and identifying data elements that require annual review and updates.
- Recommend process and policy improvements related to address updates, records and relationship management.
- Provide support for acknowledgement and tributes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- One year of general office and customer service experience required; experience in a non-profit fundraising environment strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail is essential; knowledge of best practices related to constituent records management, data entry, and gift processing is preferred.
- Well versed in general administrative and computer skills; experience with CRMs and fund development software such as Raiser’s Edge, Tessitura, or Altru, particularly related to data entry, a plus.
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate Excel, ability to use vlookup and mail merge preferred.
- Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere with a customer/donor-centric attitude
- Highly capable of handling multiple tasks, projects and timelines, including the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills through oral and written communication when interacting with both internal and external constituents.
- Commitment to the mission of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Knowledge of orchestral music and the performing arts a plus.
