Video Quality Analyst (Video Curator)
Responsibilities:
Daily management of video content quality control & compliance (QC)
Perform spot-checks of video assets, audio files, subtitles, audio descriptions, captions and metadata to assess quality and report errors
Execute full reviews on video assets considered important to iTunes business
Perform thorough metadata evaluations and report error trends
Contribute innovative ideas regarding process, video workflow and automation to maximize efficiency and scalability
Understand, promote and communicate Client’s philosophy and values
Make reasonable autonomous decisions and know when to escalate issues
Work cross-functionally with other Content Operations teams including Provider Relations, Metadata, Music & Books
Communicate with Business teams to understand priorities, report status of content and escalate issues
Key Qualifications:
Have a passion for digital video
Possess a thorough working knowledge of common technical issues found in digital video and audio, as well as an understanding of meta-data, video encoding, video codecs, and their common failures or technical challenges
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. Needs to have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
Willingness to work in a high volume, fast-paced, and changing environment
Requirements:
2-4 years experience working with digital video
Ability to take initiative and troubleshoot video/system issues
Track record of responding quickly and decisively to issues
Multilingual a plus but not required (Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Nordic languages, etc.)
General knowledge of metadata and how it’s used
Digital video passion and knowledge
Proficiency in using Client computers, devices, software and applications
Competence in Numbers/Excel/Keynote •
