Gun Drill Operator

Allied Machine & Engineering, headquartered in Dover, Ohio, is a leading manufacturer of hole making and finishing cutting tool systems. Our tooling solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in a wide range of applications.

Allied is currently looking for an individual to effectively set-up and drill the coolant outlet hole as well as locating hole in the holder.

Position: Full Time
Permanent Shift: C Crew (5am - 5pm). 2-2-3 schedule working every other weekend.
Training Shift: A Crew (5am - 5pm)

Requirements

• Operate up to 5 different machines (gun drills) to drill holes through center of holders
• Inspect holes for runout using height stand and indicator
• Observe and report any areas that need addressed
• Process orders according to appropriate schedule and/or Supervisor’s direction and properly stage product for the next operation

Qualifications:

Education

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent

Experience

• Experience in use of calipers, micrometers, depth mics, gauge pins, and height stand gauge (preferred)

Skills

• Good organization, communication, and planning skills

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to lift 32 lbs.
• Ability to read Indicators, calipers, micrometers
• Ability to follow schedules
