SUMMARY: Responsible for packing and assembling a quality product in an efficient manner for production by performing the following duties
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Places loose or packaged materials or ingredients on scales and add or remove portions of material to obtain specified weight
- Reads formula book to determine types and quantities of materials to weight
- Follows all schedules and tasks that concern job quality
- Maintains perpetual inventory of materials on hand
- Transfers weighed materials to production or storage areas
- Other duties as assigned
- Must maintain and comply with all HAACP, OSHA, USDA, SSOP, and GMP requirements
- Be willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if required
REQUIREMENTS:
- To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos in English\
- Must have basic mathematical skills
- Capable of regularly lifting and /or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work on production floor; a wet, cold, and loud environment
- Previous blending experience is highly preferred
