RN Surgery Oncology

• The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the IN State Nurse Practice Act.
• It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital s mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities.
• Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital.
• The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient s age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities.

• Current and valid state RN License (Where applicable).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate.
• At least 2 yrs experience.
• Experience with surgical patients preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
