MedCore Solutions, a division of Bizforce, is currently seeking a skilled Patient Collections specialist to join our team. As a Patient Collections specialist, you will play a crucial role in the timely collection of patient payments for healthcare services provided. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from home.

We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong understanding of US healthcare billing and collections processes. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient accounts to determine outstanding balances
• Contact patients via phone, email, or mail to discuss payment options and collect outstanding balances
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns related to billing and collections
• Work closely with insurance providers to resolve billing and reimbursement issues
• Maintain accurate and updated records of all communications and transactions
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare billing guidelines

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in patient collections or similar role in US healthcare
• Strong understanding of US healthcare billing and collections processes
• Knowledge of insurance verification, claims processing, and reimbursement
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and integrity
• Familiarity with healthcare billing software and electronic medical records
• Proficient in various EMR/EHR
• Amenable to work from home in a graveyard shift

• Start Date: TBD
• Schedule: Mondays - Fridays; 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week
• Days Off: Weekends
• Location: Work from Home
