Organization Background
PAX sapiens (PAX) is a foundation that uses direct grantmaking and coordination tools such as convenings, conferences, and information-sharing systems to advance our mission of preventing predictable and preventable global catastrophes through the creation of new systems of collective coordination that build a more peaceful world.
PAX has three primary issue focus areas, including strengthening global systems for pandemic prevention and promoting a peaceful US-Chinese relationship and reducing the risk of nuclear issues. We are also the host of the Our Secure Future program, advancing the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) agenda to build a more peaceful world by ensuring women’s full participation in governance.
Objective and Service Requirements
The objective of this consultancy is to maintain a cohesive visual brand identity and assets for PAX sapiens.
This position will work with PAX’s Communications Department to provide graphic design services to PAX.
Deliverables include but not limited to regular graphic design support for social media content, logos designs for branded events, work with PAX’s Communications team to generate templates for publications across four issue areas and utilizing graphic design to conceptualize program developing process.
General responsibilities and scope of work will include:
Design digital and print materials including one-pagers, presentations, publications and key reports, end-of-year and special communications, web pages (mainly through WordPress platform), and other related assets as requested by PAX.
Assist with the design and facilitate the delivery of recurring newsletters and email blasts to key audiences.
Assist website design efforts that align with search engine optimization best practices and brand identity.
Performance Timeline
This position calls for up to 750 hours of work (no more than 30 hours per week) from the consultant between Oct 1, 2024, and April 1, 2025. This contract has the potential for renewal through 2026. Consultant’s availability includes regular calls, emails, and project work Monday through Friday, and as needed per project over the weekends to meet deadlines. This position is fully remote, and work begins upon the signing of this contract.
Proposal Content
Interested parties must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services and relevant skills, including a cover letter, CV, 3-5 design samples, and a cost proposal.
Evaluation/Selection Criteria
Applications will be judged on the quality of their prior work, their statement of interest, relevant skill set, and ability to meet the required schedule and hours.
