Senior Software Engineer

Snowflake’s Data Cloud is a global platform where thousands of organizations store, process and share their data.  The central part of the Data Cloud is the Marketplace which enables collaboration across geographies and cloud providers.  A key part of the initiative includes developing internal applications that enrich the Marketplace and provide the end user with good starting points to create their own apps.  

The App development team builds native app applications and collaborates in other internal Snowflake initiatives, helping the company in growing their apps portfolio and ease the customer adoption of native apps and marketplace.  You’ll be involved with Snowflake NativeApp features, developer experience tools (VSCode, CI/CD), UI frameworks and many other aspects. 

AS A SENIOR APPLICATION DEVELOPER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:

• Innovate and build highly secured and reliable software tools that provide a better developer experience to Snowflake end users.
• Innovate and build highly secured and reliable software tools that help internal Snowflake teams with their tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, solution architects, and designers to deliver cross-functional initiatives.
• Ensure operational excellence, meeting reliability, availability, and performance goals.

OUR IDEAL SENIOR APPLICATION DEVELOPER WILL HAVE:

• 5+ years of industry experience designing and building software solutions.
• Extremely strong fundamental computer science skills.
• Deep, multi-faceted appreciation in building end-to-end, customer-facing products.
• Interest in establishing development processes and best practices, especially regarding quality and velocity.
• Strong knowledge of:  Java (or similar OO programming language), Python
• Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors.
