Here in Australia, we’re on the hunt for a senior PR and comms leader seeking a flexible and adaptable agency leadership role, to help accelerate the growth ambitions of our multi-disciplinary team as an initial maternity leave cover, with plenty of flex and long-term opportunity. 

The Gig 

We’re looking for a senior leader with a proven track record growing an agency or integrated comms department, who is energised by the opportunity to accelerate our agency’s growth trajectory in Australia. Collaborating closely with senior team members and global leaders, you’ll lead agency and new business development, provide strategic leadership to our partners, champion culture, and mentor our growing team. 

As a talented, ambitious, and empathetic leader, you’re focused on doing great work with great people and may be looking to step back into agency land in a flexible and part-time capacity. 

We’re eager to work with the right person to shape the role and flexible working arrangements, but are envisioning a three-day working week equivalent with dedicated focus areas of new business, strategic client leadership, and team mentorship. 

You will: 

• Be laser-focused on the growth and development of our blossoming and multi-disciplinary creative comms team, including proactive new business and network development. 
• Offer strategic creative comms leadership for select partners in our client portfolio, which includes global travel and tourism, lifestyle and wellness, retail, telco, and not-for-profit brands and organisations. 
• Lead or support new business and client presentations, working alongside our team to build and review strategic deliverables and provide senior counsel in key presentations and meetings.
• Work closely with our senior team and global leaders in pursuit of excellence across the agency, championing culture and L&D for our hard-working crew.

Requirements

Ideally, you have: 

• Senior agency leadership experience, ideally in an emerging to mid-size agency setting
• A strong industry network readily engaged for new business opportunities, partnerships and recruitment
• A modern, energised, and inspiring leadership style 
• An excellent sense of humour 
• Appetite to roll up your sleeves and make magic happen alongside a tight-knit and dedicated team
