About the Position:
Reporting to the Director, Grants Stewardship, the Senior Compliance Manager, Grants Stewardship will take the lead on financial and compliance management of JFF’s federal grants and contracts, including working with program delivery staff to ensure their understanding of rules and regulations monitoring compliance for our subgrantees and subcontractors, and managing our federal reporting. JFF has a robust working relationship with various federal agencies in delivering grants and contracts, and the Senior Compliance Manager will also play a key role in helping expand and maintain JFF’s federal compliance program.
This position presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced grants manager to broaden their expertise across all facets of finance within a growing, mission-driven organization. This person will play a key role in supporting elements around numerous grant stewardship functions, and partner cross functionally across the entire Finance team to act as a champion for project owners, seeking clarity and transparency in financial systems and practices, educating project budget owners on key financial and compliance issues, and documenting and elevating best practices through policies and procedures to ensure JFF has the tools and knowledge needed to act as a low-risk federal grantee and contractor.
The ideal candidate for this role is a dynamic individual who has experience with maintaining and managing complex federal grants and working with staff to help them to build out best practices with their awards. JFF has offices in Boston, Oakland, and Washington, DC; employees are welcome to use JFF office space to work in-person or hybrid, or completely remote. To improve the employee experience and promote productivity while working remotely, JFF offers an annual home office stipend to all regular full-time and part-time employees. In addition, new employees receive office equipment as needed.
The hiring range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 annually, in alignment to JFF’s Senior Manager salary band and our compensation philosophy. Starting salaries for new hires will be determined based on a combination of the new hire’s relevant experience and market demands.
