Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join our client's team. As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing steel structures and equipment, ensuring their adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and install steel structures, components, and equipment using various techniques such as welding, cutting, and shaping.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine materials required and precise specifications for fabrication and installation.
- Perform welding tasks using different methods (e.g., stick, MIG, TIG) to join steel components and ensure structural integrity.
- Inspect fabricated structures and equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Assemble fabricated structures and install them at designated locations, following engineering instructions and safety guidelines.
- Conduct maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of steel equipment and structures, ensuring their optimal functioning and longevity.
- Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for oneself and fellow workers.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any modifications or repairs conducted for reporting and reference purposes.
- Coordinate and collaborate with colleagues, engineers, and supervisors to execute tasks efficiently and achieve operational goals.
Requirements
- Boilermaker qualification
- 3-5 years of experience as a boilermaker or in a similar role within the steel or heavy industry
- Proficiency in steel fabrication, welding, cutting, and other relevant techniques. Familiarity with various tools, machinery, and welding equipment.
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices, with a proven track record of working safely
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, and in remote locations as required
