MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we’ve come a long way since. Today we’re a 400 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair.
Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA, as well as East Providence, RI and Denver, CO.
We’re making new and exciting things – and we could really do with your help.
This is a hybrid role based in our London office - it will be the anchor point for a new Strategic Delivery Team at MOO. You will start in a hands-on delivery role, replacing an experienced consultant, overseeing one of our most important and strategic goals at MOO - our new product and technology launches. In parallel, we want to shape the future of a new delivery function at MOO, which this role would lead.
This function is being established to own the management and assurance of our most complex and valuable endeavours at MOO. This role, reporting to the Chief Technology & Product Officer, will be a position of leadership for the Strategic Delivery team, which had the following high-level remit:
- Manage key strategic priorities for MOO, focusing on our ‘new products’ OKR in the first instance.
- Enhance visibility and assurance of strategic projects across MOO and in particular, to the senior leadership team.
- Develop a community of practice for delivery with reusable tools and focus on continuous improvement.
- Establish clear career paths for delivery professionals at MOO based on industry standards.
- The Head of Delivery will oversee a team of delivery professionals across MOO, each with different focus points representing our primary business areas (tech & product, commercial, operations, category management).
The Role
- Leading cross functional management of large, strategic endeavours with the support of a team of delivery managers. The precise definition of this role will be moulded in part by the person occupying it, but we envision the following are particular focus areas:
- Delivery assurance of strategic projects across the business (determined in partnership with the SLT)
- Assessing new strategic delivery needs and shaping those, including scoping and sizing the work and provision of supporting delivery resources as appropriate.
- Maintaining a backlog of strategic delivery requirements across MOO, with regular prioritisation within SLT to ensure alignment on focus.
- Ownership of the company wide OKR planning process - more structure to company planning, OKR structure and review.
- Facilitation in partnership with the SLT and MOO’s wider leadership team, to enable planning of the future.
- Line management and coaching a team of Delivery Managers, building career paths structure to develop in the practise.
- Developing a centralised source of delivery artefacts, templates and methodologies to build organisational capability in delivery.
- Ownership of a broader portfolio of key strategic projects across MOO (to be determined by SLT via an entry gate)
- Ownership of backlog of MOO delivery requirements, which are scoped, sized and resourced as projects and prioritised based on business need
