We are actively seeking a Title Review Specialist to join our AFR Wholesale Division. The Title Review Specialist will primarily be responsible for the review and analysis of title work, subordination agreements, Power of Attorney documents, and all Down Payment Assistance programs & MCC Grants. The ideal candidate will be able to confidently review title in all states where American Financial Resources, Inc. (AFR) does business.
Requirements & Preferred Qualifications- 4 Year College Degree Preferred
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Solid understanding of title endorsements and vesting requirements
- Ability to work well independently, in a fast-paced environment
- Strong desire to learn and begin a long term career with the right company
Position Responsibilities- Management and oversight of your pipeline
- Analyze easements, restrictions, exceptions, subordinate liens, deeds, mortgages, tax assessments, judgements and other instruments
- Verify that information appearing on title will ensure AFR is in first lien position and that the title is clear and marketable upon recordation
- Escalate any issues which may affect AFR obtaining clear and marketable title
- Create and maintain process documentation for review of documents
- Work with management to update processes, training and system data points as guidelines/laws change
- Work with local and state agencies along with national title insurance firms to stay current on guidelines
- All other duties assigned as directed by the Director of Wholesale Operations
