We are seeking a skilled and creative 3D Level Designer to join our team at BreederDAO. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and creating immersive and captivating game levels that align with our vision and gameplay mechanics. Your expertise in level design and understanding of player experience will contribute to the overall success of our games.
Responsibilities:
- Create and design 3D game levels that are visually appealing and optimized for performance
- Work closely with game designers to ensure levels meet gameplay objectives and provide a satisfying player experience
- Create terrain, landscapes, and architectural elements using industry-standard software
- Implement lighting and special effects to enhance the visual quality of the levels
- Collaborate with artists, programmers, and other team members to ensure levels are integrated seamlessly into the game
- Playtest and iterate on levels based on feedback from the development team
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in 3D modeling and level design software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Unity)
- Experience designing and building levels for games on Unity, Unreal Engine, or other popular game framework
- Knowledge in game scene optimization (LODs, etc.)
- Strong understanding of level design principles, including flow, pacing, and player engagement
- Knowledge of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Passion for games and a strong understanding of their mechanics and gameplay experiences
