Job Summary:The Events and Marketing Assistant will play a crucial role in executing a wide range of events and marketing initiatives that showcase our client and its members. Key Responsibilities:- Event Planning and Execution:
- Assist in the planning and execution of various events, including networking events, council meetings, signature annual events, etc.
- Assist in coordinating event logistics such as venue selection, catering, audiovisual setup, and guest registration.
- Prepare event materials, including programs, name badges, and promotional materials.
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
- Marketing and Promotion:
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns to promote Chamber events and initiatives.
- Assist in creating engaging content for social media, newsletters, and the Chamber's website.
- Maintain and update the Chamber's event calendar and marketing materials.
- Assist in tracking and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
- Support in the creation of promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and banners.
- Member Engagement:
- Communicate with Chamber members to promote their involvement in events and marketing opportunities.
- Assist in member recruitment and retention efforts.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the Events and Marketing team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining records.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in event planning, marketing, or related roles is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic graphic design tools.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing analytics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic and proactive attitude with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
