Supply Chain Intern

Zeno is seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Supply Chain Intern to support the mission-oriented efforts of developing and bringing to market Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) technologies. This role directly supports establishing a fuel supply chain for Zeno’s novel RPS technologies.

In this role you will:

• Develop an extensive database of radioisotope fuel sources
• Conduct a trade study to enable access, transportation, and storage of radioisotope fuel sources
• Conduct a feasibility study for Zeno's dedicated radiological facility location

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or other technical field, with an interest in nuclear technologies.
• General background in radioactive decay and regulatory oversight authorities.
• Familiarity with DOE nuclear complex is preferred.
• Candidate must be a self-starter and able to interface with internal and external stakeholders with support from manager.
• Able to meet deadlines and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Clearly demonstrate the ability to work either independently or as part of a team.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Job Functions

• Position requires in-office presence in Washington, D.C. (Mt. Vernon/Chinatown) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, remote work is optional on Mondays and Fridays.
• Travel: Travel is required,<10%
• Motor Abilities: Sitting and/or standing for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control (hands)
• Physical exertion and/or requirements: Minimal, with ability to safely lift up to 15 pounds
• Repetitive work: Prolonged
• Special Senses: Visual and audio focused work
• Work Conditions: Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hrs./day

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated compensation for this is $20-30/Hour. The final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's education, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and other considerations.
