As an Outside Sales/Applications Specialist, you will be selling robotic sensors, presses, and cameras to Aerospace, Automotive and Electronics Manufacturing industries. You will primarily be selling to engineers within Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara, Kitchener, Waterloo, London, Windsor all of SW Ontario. This role is a mixture of new business development as well as managing accounts. This is an expansion to the existing team and will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager. The position offers a base salary is $100,000 plus commissions.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

           $100,000 Base Salary, plus commission
           OTE in the first year is $120,000 +

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:

           Head Office - Toronto Ontario
           Working from the office 5 days a week 
           The sales territory is Southwestern Ontario
           Full-time - Monday to Friday

 

EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

           3+ years of sales experience selling similar sensors and other products, including robots and smart cameras for industrial applications.
           Familiarity with industrial equipment and automation
           Experience selling to engineers
           Electrical Engineering Degree preferred

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

           Advanced technology skills
           Excel - Intermediate
           PowerPoint - Intermediate
           MS Word - Intermediate

           Automotive

           Large to Enterprise sized organizations located in Southwestern Ontario
           You will be selling to Engineers

 

SALES CYCLE / ORDER VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE

           Average project size is $200 - $100,000 +
           Average length of sales cycle 1-2 days - 9- 12 months depending on clients needs

           50% New Business Development

LEADS:

           50% Prospecting/Cold Calling
           50% following up on warm Leads

 

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:

           20-25% (Up to 5-10 days of travel per month)

 

SUPPORT & TRAINING:

           Job Shadowing
           Mentoring
           Classroom
           3 - 6 months of sales training
           3 - 6 months of technical training
           Within 3 - 6 months you will be selling to clients
