<p>Due to growth a well-established corporate service provider covering a plethora of industries urgently needs an <strong>Accountant</strong> to join their team. As an <strong>Accountant</strong>, you will be reporting to the Reporting to the Manager of the Tax Department you will be entrusted with a select portfolio of clients where you will be expected to manage, build and mentor junior team members. </p><p><strong>Salary up to €35k </strong></p><p><strong>Role and Responsibilities: </strong><br></p><ul> <li><strong>Client Portfolio Management:</strong> Handle management accounts, VAT returns, and statutory compliance for assigned clients while ensuring timely completion of audits.</li><li><strong>Review & Compliance:</strong> Oversee financial statements, complex disclosures, and VAT returns prepared by both yourself and junior team members. Ensure all tasks meet statutory and client deadlines.</li><li><strong>Team Leadership & Mentorship:</strong> Guide junior team members by providing technical support, reviewing their work, and organizing regular progress meetings.</li><li><strong>Process Improvement & Training:</strong> Promote best practices, identify training needs, and coordinate with management to enhance team skills.</li><li><strong>Cross-Department Collaboration:</strong> Liaise with internal teams to gather necessary documentation for financial statements and statutory returns.</li><li><strong>Client Engagement & Advisory:</strong> Attend client meetings to discuss financial matters and accompany junior team members for training purposes.</li><li><strong>Strategic Contributions:</strong> Assist with internal articles, compliance monitoring, and reporting critical accounting issues to management.</li></ul><p><strong>Education, Skills & Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Fluency in English at a C2 or native level both written and spoken</li><li> 2+ experience in a client accounting environment preferably in Malta</li><li> Qualified by a recognised accountancy qualification</li><li>Confident in client accounting, VAT, and related areas, with a strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills</li><li>Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work both independently and in a team</li><li>Eager to learn, adaptable to different industries, and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment</li><li>Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in approach</li></ul><p><strong>About this role:</strong><br></p><ul><li>Hybrid-remote in Swatar with longer weekends - Fridays the office closes at 14:00</li><li>Competitive salary of up to €35k + performance bonus</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Free parking</li><li>Opportunities to attend industry events</li><li>Free Mental Health Workshops</li><li> Study leave</li><li>Sponsorships and more</li></ul><p>Apply with your CV in English!</p><p>*JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU.
