Finance Specialist at Gradfuel

Part time position

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Pro-Rata

Location: London, remote/hybrid

Gradfuel is an innovative and fast-growing startup in the TA sector, operating under the business name Gradfuel in the UK. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Finance Specialist to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations, including projections, cash-flow management, payment processing, invoice management, and will additionally support investment and shareholder activity. The Finance Specialist will report directly to and work closely alongside the CEO.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Projections:
• Collaborate with the CEO to develop and maintain accurate financial projections.
• Analyse historical financial data and industry trends to provide insights for future projections.
• Cash-Flow Management:
• Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity.
• Work closely with the CEO to identify potential cash-flow challenges and propose solutions.
• Payment Processing:
• Process payments accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to obtain necessary approvals for payment requests.
• Invoice Management:
• Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timely issuance to clients.
• Actively follow up on outstanding invoices and collaborate with internal teams to address any billing discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting:
• Assist in preparing financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics.
• Generate ad-hoc financial reports as requested by the finance team.
• Investment and Shareholder Activity:
• Support activities related to investment, including research, analysis, and documentation.
• Assist in managing communications and interactions with shareholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a startup environment.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, cash-flow management, and financial forecasting.
• Proficient in financial software and tools; experience with Xero is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a part-time position, with an estimated commitment of 10 hours per week. The schedule can be flexible based on mutual agreement.
