Who we are
Liminal is a global market intelligence and strategic advisory firm specializing in digital identity, financial crime and compliance, and IT security technology solutions across industries while also catering to the private equity and venture capital community. Founded in 2016, Liminal offers strategic and analytical services supporting executive decision-making at all product and business lifecycle stages. We advise some of the world’s most prominent business leaders, investors, and policymakers on building, acquiring, and investing in the next generation of solutions and technologies. We provide access to proprietary data and analysis, strategic frameworks, and integrated insights on the industry’s only market intelligence platform.

Every major company in the world has started focusing on the next generation of digital identity technologies as a necessity for continued growth and security. Our team works with a myriad of organizations, from Fortune 100s to startups, across industries including financial services, technology, telecommunications, and the P2P economy. At Liminal, we help businesses build solutions, execute strategies, invest intelligently, and connect with key decision-makers. We know that it’s in the sharing of discovery and insights that groundwork is laid, problems are solved, and entire sectors advance at the speed of light. Keeping information to ourselves delays progress for all. At Liminal, we don't just respond to the market; we define it.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Product Designer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our market intelligence platform. You will be responsible for interpreting product requirements into user flows and crafting intuitive and engaging interfaces that empower our users to seamlessly navigate and interact with complex data. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate user needs into elegant and effective design solutions. Your expertise in UX/UI design, prototyping, and user-centered design principles will be instrumental in creating a world-class user experience.

Product Design

  • Design user flows, information architecture, and interaction patterns that optimize usability and efficiency.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders.
  • Develop intuitive and engaging user interfaces for our market intelligence platform, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience.
  • Maintain and expand our existing design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform.

Prototype Development

  • Transform user stories and requirements into high-fidelity Figma prototypes, providing a clear vision for implementation.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback on prototypes to identify areas for improvement and refinement.
  • Iterate designs based on user feedback and data analysis, ensuring the platform meets and exceeds user expectations.

Collaboration and Implementation

  • Work closely with engineering teams to refine and implement design concepts, ensuring a smooth transition from design to development.
  • Provide detailed design specifications and assets to developers, ensuring accurate and consistent implementation of UI components.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the development process, ensuring the final product aligns with the intended user experience.

Continuous Learning and Development

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in UX/UI design, user research, and accessibility.
  • Participate in design critiques, workshops, and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably in data products or market intelligence platforms.
  • Proficiency in Figma and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design skills and a user-centered design process.
  • Strong understanding of React and similar modern front-end frameworks, including the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Passion for creating user-centric designs and improving user experiences.
  • Nice to Have:
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge or interest in market intelligence, data visualization, or business intelligence.
