<p dir="ltr">Unibuddy, a successful Series B business based in London and with teams distributed across Europe, India and North America, is looking to bring in a strong Product Lead to support us in the next phase of our delivering our mission. Our mission is to empower every student to make the right decisions along their higher education journey.</p><p dir="ltr">We are looking for an experienced product manager who is passionate about solving user needs and driving product growth. <br><br>We’ve recently launched a new student app that gives prospective university students and offer holders a utility in their pocket to help them gain confidence in their application or enrollment decisions. It’s set to be a killer tool to help our university customers be able to connect and engage with prospective students and successfully nurture them through the recruitment cycle.<br><br>This Senior Product Manager will be responsible for defining the product vision and strategy for this app, outlining how and where it can evolve to best support the whole end-to-end decision-making journey for a student. Ensuring at all times that it aligns with the commercial goals and overarching product portfolio vision, whilst creating exceptional user experiences. You will own the roadmap for this product area, conducting user research, analysing data, and collaborating with engineering in a squad to deliver it.</p><p dir="ltr"><strong><br></strong></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Product Strategy: </strong>Accountable for defining the product vision, strategy and roadmap for this part of the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with Unibuddy's mission and commercial goals.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Insight-Led Product Development:</strong> Uncovering imaginative insights from qualitative and quantitive data and A/B testing, to identify product opportunities which are used to define, own and drive the product vision and strategy </p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>User Research &amp; Analysis:</strong> Define and conduct category defining user research to deeply understand user needs and pain points. Analyse data and market trends to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Product Development:</strong> Define, prioritise, and manage the backlog for your product area. Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and marketing to ensure successful product development and launch.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Communication &amp; Collaboration:</strong> Effectively communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress to stakeholders at all levels. Foster collaboration within cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and drive product success.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Data-Driven Optimisation:</strong> Utilise data analytics to measure product performance, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on the product to drive user engagement and business growth.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Innovation </strong><strong>Visionary</strong><strong>:</strong> Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Driving and contributing to a culture of innovation by exploring new ideas and experimenting with potential solutions.</p></li></ul><p dir="ltr"><strong><br></strong></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Person Specific</strong><strong></strong><strong>ation:</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">To-the-extreme growth mindset, with proven test and iterate experience</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">5+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of success in a B2B2C or B2C technology environment, working within high-performing, cross-functional, self-organising Agile teams.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">You can easily manage a development team on a day-to-day basis, allowing you the thinking space to identify and define incredible, game-changing experiences for our customers. </p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Extensive iOS and Android App experience, with strong engagement/user retention experience. Experience with user acquisition a bonus.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to unearth unknown user and customer problems and needs, from qualitative and quantitive data sets, to determine actionable insights</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Skilled in identifying how a single product can support and accelerate a product portfolio, utilising intrinsic commercial acumen and strong go-to-market experience</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">You have a passion for delivering world-class user experiences, are intrigued by human psychology and why users act the way they do, showcasing appreciation of the importance UX, visual design and copy can have on an experience</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">You are approachable and hungry to collaborate with other business functions, knowing that you can’t solve complex problems alone</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and influence stakeholders.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">A strong understanding of the higher education (or similar) sector and student needs is a plus, but not essential.</p></li></ul><p></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>What's on offer?</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Competitive salary</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Hybrid working (currently 3 days remote and 2 days in the London office)</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Private healthcare provided by Bupa</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Mental health support is provided by Spill</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Life insurance</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Significantly enhanced parental leave</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Pension matched up to 6%</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">25 days of annual leave plus national holidays, an additional special day for a personal occasion (like your birthday, an anniversary or a wedding), extra days based on tenure, and 4 additional days at the end of the year for a company-wide shutdown.</p></li></ul><p dir="ltr"><strong>We rock! </strong>It’s our people that make us successful.
