Junior Legal Counsel

We are now looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to join us full time in Helsinki, Finland until end of August 2025. This is a fixed-term position. 

You’ll join a close-knit legal team that’s dedicated to your success and growth. In this role you will be working very closely with many of our legal team members who focus on specific legal areas & geographies as well as with different stakeholders throughout the company. Your work will consist of various legal matters relevant to software business and providing hands-on legal support to people in different countries. 

What you'll be doing: 

• You will be working on various legal matters relating to RELEX’s international business – here are some examples:
  • Tasks relating to compliance and governance, such as compliance with competition and AI laws, internal signing guidelines and know your business partner processes
  • Tasks relating to our trademark portfolio as well as open-source software licenses
  • Reviewing and commenting contracts and other legal documents
  • Research and advice on various legal topics  
• You will be supporting other legal counsels in various projects and other initiatives that they are working on.
• You may be providing legal support in specific areas relevant to our business, depending on your skills and experience. 

What you bring on the table: 

• Legal degree with strong academic credentials.
• Some relevant work experience, either as an in-house counsel or in a law firm.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Excellent English language skills. Other language skills relevant to our business are considered an asset.
• Interest in taking on a generalist legal role with a broad range of tasks.
• Attention to details and good problem-solving ability.
• Eagerness to learn new stuff and take on new challenges.
• Ability and passion to provide excellent, user-friendly in-house service.
