DCL is looking to add an experienced Sales Account Manager to our US Team.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute sales plans to increase revenue and market presence in the assigned region.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Under company direction, create and execute the proper sales plan to maximize market, sales and revenue opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share.
  • Analyze sales data and provide insights into continuous improvement and sales performance optimization.
  • Provide technical sales support and guidance on product applications.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, efficiency, and business intelligence to enhance productivity.
  • Manage and optimize customer activity using CRM tools, sales enablement platforms, and analytics for improved selling efficiency.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and segment insights, identifying key growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, budgets, monthly and performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Create a rolling 12 month forecast updated monthly.
  • Ensure that call reports and visits are made effectively and contain information that can help grow the business, threats from the market, market information, opportunities and new trends from the market.

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in technical field (Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, Business or related field) and previous experience in pigments is required.

  • Minimum five plus years’ experience in technical sales / marketing / applied technology for color solutions in the plastics, coatings, construction, cosmetic, rubber, and/or engineering industry.
  • Strong understanding of product line characteristics and applications.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Must be computer literate in MS Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Salesforce.
  • Physical requirements that include those required in a standard office environment as well as travel.
  • Valid Passport is also required
  • Articulate, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of spreadsheets and forecasting.
  • Strong sales techniques and ability to influence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster an environment of trust, honesty, integrity and success with customers, colleagues, and subordinates.
  • Strong technical knowledge of products and applications.
  • Must be adaptable to organizational and market challenges.
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Position requires strict confidentiality both written and verbal.
  • High focus on customer satisfaction
  • Must be highly motivated, demonstrate strong communication, presentation, leadership, and technical skills.
  • Develop and prepare call reports, budgets, sales plans.
  • Able to plan, schedule, coordinate sales calls as well as plan for travel and hotel.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is based in the home office and thus requires discipline, time management, excellent internet, and Cell Phone coverage.
  • The position will require air, road and rail travel to customer locations, other company sites, trade shows up to 60%.
  • Must have the ability to accept responsibility, perform under stress, and adapt to changing priorities, duties, and responsibilities
