The Program Manager- TLR Transmission Lines will manage the successful execution of the Transmission Line Program at VECLO by working closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget and timing for new initiatives. Analyze, evaluate and overcome program risks and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders. Plan, budget, document, oversee and lead various projects within the program from conception through completion. Represent the company in the interaction with stakeholders, including state and federal regulatory staff, members of the public, landowners, and distribution utility staff. Provide analysis of financial and schedule performance and provide reports on the status of the program and project efforts to management, as well as the VELCO Board of Directors.
Responsibilities
Who you are
A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar field is preferred. Relevant professional licenses are preferred, such as Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Minimum 7 years of prior, relevant experience with utility infrastructure projects, personnel management, and budgeting.

• VELCO is headquartered in Rutland, Vermont. This is a hybrid position and the expectation is that the incumbent will spend at least two days per week onsite and more as needed.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to respond to off-duty calls, particularly in the event of system emergencies, prolonged equipment and/or customer outages.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
