Where You Come In:

We are seeking a dynamic Inside Sales Representative to join our team, focusing on new business development. This role combines strategic hunting activities of new business with handling the full end-to-end sales process. The ideal candidate will be adept at hunting for new business opportunities, handling net new customers, and exceeding quarterly sales goals.

Essential Functions:    

Outreach and Lead Generation:

  • Conduct outreach through calls, emails, and LinkedIn messaging to demonstrate new sales opportunities.
  • Uncover customer pain points and articulate how our solutions address these issues through a comprehensive value proposition.
  • Maintain a well-organized database of prospects within specific business verticals as defined by sales leadership.
  • Meet quarterly and yearly quotas for outreach activities, including calls, emails, and demonstrations.
  • Document activities within CRM.

Customer Acquisition:

  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand the customer base,
  • Engage in prospecting accounts with the potential to generate significant revenue ($100,000-500,000 or more annually per account).
  • Target North American companies up to $1B in revenue within assigned sectors

Sales and Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with new customers.
  • Consult with potential customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products, services, or equipment.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to exceed sales quotas.
  • Participate in drafting and negotiating sales agreements.
  • Provide consistent customer support and act as a liaison between customers and internal teams.

Product and Service Proficiency:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products, services, and value proposition to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, enlisting the support of other team members as necessary.

 

Qualifications:    

  • Proven experience in inside sales, with a focus on new business development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to travel up 25% of the time

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • General knowledge of industrial rotating equipment such as Motors, Pumps, Fans, Gearboxes, Compressors, etc.
  • Experience selling virtually via video conferencing platforms
  • Software, Technology, or Industrial Internet of Things sales experience
