Overview:
Improvix Technologies is seeking an experienced Agile Coach to join our team supporting the Department of State's ADD (Application Development and Delivery) program. The successful candidate will help drive the adoption of agile practices, improve the overall agile maturity of the teams, and guide them toward increased productivity, efficiency, and quality delivery. This position is fully remote and is part of a long-term, 5-year contract. A Secret clearance is required for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, to coach and mentor teams and stakeholders.
- Guide and support multiple project teams in their Agile transformation journey to optimize workflow and improve team dynamics.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and ensure teams are adhering to best practices.
- Assess the Agile maturity of teams and devise strategies to advance their effectiveness.
- Identify and address potential challenges and obstacles in implementing Agile practices and propose solutions for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with program managers, product owners, and other key stakeholders to align Agile methodologies with program goals and priorities.
- Promote an Agile mindset across the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, flexibility, and accountability.
- Provide coaching and guidance on Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and how to leverage them for efficient project tracking and management.
- Ensure continuous improvement of Agile processes by monitoring team performance and conducting Agile maturity assessments.
- Develop and deliver Agile training and workshops to increase organizational knowledge and capability.
Requirements:
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience working with Agile methodologies and at least 5 years of experience as an Agile Coach.
- Proven experience leading Agile transformations within large, complex organizations, preferably in a federal environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and associated tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills to guide teams through Agile practices.
- Ability to work with distributed teams and manage remote collaborations effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record in improving team performance and promoting Agile principles in diverse environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal agencies, particularly the Department of State.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certifications.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and integration with Agile methodologies.
- Experience in promoting and facilitating Agile maturity assessments and improvement roadmaps.
