Recognized consecutively for the past nine years as one of the Best Places to Work in Vermont, The Richards Group is currently seeking an Account Manager or a Senior Account Manager to join our team in the Springfield, VT office. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has strong interpersonal skills and a desire to cultivate positive relationships and provide exceptional service.
The Account Manager works independently and or collaboratively to manage overall client service and administration throughout the issuance and renewal cycle. This position is a client facing role utilizing professional skills in Personal Property and Casualty insurance to maintain and enhance client relationships while also insuring agency profitability.
The Senior Account Manager is performing at a higher level in regard to customer service and retention. They play a critical role in aiding the department is achieving their goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of an Account Manager:
- Receive, document and process all customer requests for service and submit information to insurance companies in a timely manner
- Ensure policy accuracy and timely completion of endorsement and audit requests
- Identify and deliver coverage recommendations for clients in an ongoing fashion
- Summarization of current program and expiring exposures
- Responsible for all documentation and maintenance of client records within our Agency Management System
- Manage work flow effectively to maintain current status on all activities
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, carriers & TRG team members
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Senior Account Manager:
- Performs all duties of the Personal Lines Account Manager
- Ability to analyze complex customer needs with resulting recommendations that are consistent with direction to maintain or enhance client relationships while also ensuring agency profitability
- In addition to service duties, the Sr. Account Manager seeks opportunities and engages in specific departmental initiatives
- Demonstrates emerging leadership skills within servicing function to include delegation, collaborating, training & mentoring
- Must have active P&C license and 5 years related experience
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Active Property & Casualty license
- Achieved or actively pursuing professional designations (CIC, CPSU, ACSR, AAI)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess basic math and organizational skills.
- Must have basic keyboarding skills.
- Attention to detail.
