As an Execution Quantitative Researcher, you will develop tools and analytics to improve trading of quantitative strategies at Vatic. Researchers explore vast amounts of market data, applying novel machine-learning algorithms and statistical approaches to discover and capitalize on market opportunities. Execution is an integral part of capturing these anomalies.

If you possess the following, we would love to explore what is available for you with our team:

  • Earned or will earn a Master’s or Ph.D. in a quantitative field, such as Math or Statistics
  • Ability to generate impactful research in academic or professional pursuits
  • Experience studying market impact and developing pre and post trade cost analytics
  • Manage full life-cycle of execution strategies using advanced statistical techniques
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of time-series analysis
  • Advanced understanding of a high-level language for numerical analysis, Python (numpy/scipy stack) preferred
  • Exposure to C++ or related compiled language
  • Interest and enthusiasm for learning about financial markets

The base salary range for this role is between $175,000 and $250,000. The base salary range does not include any other form of compensation, such as any bonus amounts, or any benefits.  Factors that may impact the agreed upon base salary within the range for a particular candidate include years of experience, level of education obtained, skill set, and other factors.
