The Role
The Luton General Manager is a critical role within our business, having full responsibility for financial management of the Luton base including capital expenditures, forecasting, budgeting, audit performance and expense management whilst maintaining a focus on guest hospitality and exceptional service levels.
As Luton GM, you will work with the Managing Director (EMEA) to develop and execute the strategic plan for the Luton FBO, identifying opportunities on acquisition and innovative revenue enhancement in line with Signature Aviation’s growth strategies. You will oversee financial and KPI management of the Luton FBO and deliver the annual budget, and provide support and coaching to direct reports in order for them to successfully manage their own segments of the base P&L.
A key part of your role will be leading a team of direct reports across hospitality delivery, operational matters and personal performance and development. Establishing a culture that promotes safety, diversity and inclusivity, customer loyalty, commercial focus and teamworking will be a key area of focus. You will work with your HR Partner on HR strategy, succession planning, engagement, development opportunities and all other HR-related activity. You will strive to develop and sustain an environment of high employee engagement and inclusion.
About You
You will be educated to degree standard/equivalent or have significant related experience in aviation/FBO management, with a proven track record in successfully leading a business or operation and evidence of working proactively to grow a business.
You will have experience of leading successful teams to success, developing and coaching talent to their potential. You will effectively demonstrate entrepreneurship, change leadership, negotiation and influence, business acumen and operational decision making. You will be customer orientated with the ability to drive for results and to understand and interpret technical and financial data.
The role requires a checkable five-year employment history and a full, clean driving license. The role requires flexibility in terms of working time and travel.
