Videographer

The American University in the Emirates is searching for a Videographer who will be capturing university life and promoting its identity and achievements as well as creating engaging videos showcasing academic events, research, and student experiences.

Salary Range & Benefits: AED 6,000 & Additional Benefits

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in mass communication or related field from an accredited university 
• 2-4 years of experience in videography, video content production, video editing, and post-production in a professional environment, showcasing an excellent portfolio of creative production.

Skills / Training / Knowledge

• Produce regular video content for the website and social media platforms, internal events, and graduation ceremonies.
• Develops creative, strategic ideas that solve specific marketing challenges.
• Regularly follow the latest videography trends, up to date technology, and original content ideas
• Advanced skills and knowledge in Final Cut, Premiere, and Davinci is a must
• Proficient in using audio editing
• Proficiency with DSLR/digital cinema cameras is required

Job Description

1.    Plan, film, edit video content according to event schedule and university briefs. 
2.    Ensuring that the necessary filming equipment is present and working.
3.    Edit and submit videos on deadline. 
4.    Collaborate with the team to develop concepts, storyboards, and shot lists for video projects.
5.    Operate professional video equipment including cameras, lighting, and audio devices to ensure high-quality footage.
6.    Conduct on-site video shoots, ensuring proper framing, lighting, and sound quality.
7.    Add graphics, animations, and special effects as needed to enhance video content.
8.    Maintain an organized library of video assets and archives for easy access and retrieval.
9.    Adhere to the social media strategy to ensure timely submission of videos and prevent delays.
10.    Ensure all video content aligns with the university’s branding guidelines. 
11.    Stay Updated on emerging trends and practices in video production. 
12.    Ensure attendance at all university events to offer video coverage. 
13.    Develop and implement strategies in collaboration with the university's advancement and fundraising team to identify and secure funding from various sources to support the University mission.
14.    Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring their continued engagement and support for the institution.
15.    Performs any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
